3 Grain Whisky - 43% - 700ml

The Saint-Laurent distillery is shaking up the tradition of Canadian whisky—often perceived abroad as bland and boring—with an eccentric approach that blends styles. Because the mash is fermented on grain, the aromas of Quebec cereals are fully expressed. After two distillations in a Scottish-style copper pot still, the result is a rich spirit with complex nuances and an oily body. The distillate is then aged for three years in new, charred oak barrels, much like a typical American whisky. A reimagined Appalachian classic, this Quebec whisky is made with corn from the Montérégie region, as well as rye and malted barley from the Lower St. Lawrence.
